Long-term Planning

5 year plans just aren't enough

Where this country is 30 years from now is arguably more important than where we are today, or even in 2 to 5 years' time. So why are most political policies based on this kind of short-term planning?

As soon as you employ the concept of long-term vision, you open up the possibility of rapid change, as people are more likely to buy into your "picture" of what the future could look like - and how you plan to get there.

Sadly, this rule can also be a catastrophe if it falls into the wrong hands, as you'll see at the start of the film on this page.

Watch the film now to find out more about long-term planning, why we have such a poor record of this in recent political history, and how ALP33 would do it differently as our fifth Rule of Engagement.
